Paula S. Newman, PLLC is a Professional Limited Liability Company established in 2005, that provides behavioral counseling and consulting services. Dr. Paula Sanders Newman is the fully-licensed practitioner and owner. She is an Educational Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor, and Nationally Board Certified Counselor who provides individual, family, and group therapy for children, adolescents, and young adults.
She recently (2020) transitioned Paula S. Newman, PLLC from a solo practice to a group practice under the dba name, Family Enrichment Associates, because she wants to further pursue her passion for teaching and training. She will provide a place for training and supervision for those entering the field.
Experience
Dr. Newman has over 28 years in the field of behavioral health, as a qualified mental health professional; she became a licensed professional in October 2005 and a licensed supervisor in October 2015. Dr. Newman has served as an Adjunct Professor at North Carolina Wesleyan College in Rocky Mount, NC for three years, where she teaches Cognitive Psychology and Physiological Psychology. Her research focuses on the competencies of behavioral healthcare workers; she is passionate about doing her part to improve the quality of the clinicians in the behavioral healthcare workforce.
